This page covers this website, birdcorner.app. The BirdCorner mobile applications are covered separately, in the app privacy policy.
The site is a static site: there is no account, no login, and no database of visitors. What follows is everything that leaves your browser when you read it.
Analytics
There are none. The site sets no analytics cookies, loads no tracking scripts, and does not count you. An earlier version of the site ran Google Analytics; that was removed in August 2026 and the property is no longer collecting.
Comments
Blog posts carry comments powered by giscus, which stores each discussion as a GitHub Discussion in a public repository. The comment widget loads only when you open a post, and posting a comment requires you to authorise the giscus GitHub app. If you comment, your GitHub username, avatar and comment text are public and are held by GitHub under their privacy policy. Reading a page without commenting creates no GitHub account activity for you.
Hosting
The site is served by a commercial web host, which keeps standard server access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and troubleshooting. I do not use those logs for tracking or profiling.
Your rights
You can ask me what data relates to you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. In practice the only thing here tied to an identifiable person is a comment you chose to publish, and you can delete that yourself in the GitHub Discussion it lives in.
